My photography abstracts the physical environment using natural manipulations to create dream like images that focus on intimate subject matter. The photographs explore the dreams, memories, and emotions experienced by myself, close friends, and family members. I experiment and combine different techniques such as watercolor, cyanotype, van dyke, anthotypes, lumen, using water and real plants, incorporating symbols, and shooting through a bowl filled with water. These manipulations signify how the mind distorts our own perception of past memories and express our desires to escape reality.
